I'm not in any position to give advice on this mod, but I was wondering who would be interested in doing this one day this summer? aCiD was nice enough to do a write up and I though with each others help we could all do it together. aCiD had mentioned that if he'* available he may be able to give us guidance. Here is the link as to what'* involved. Please indicate where you're interested in doing this?

This looks simple enough. I think I might give it a try. I have a cassette deck so I haven't got a lot to lose. The only question that I have is, why do you need the relay? Couldn't you simply run the wires out to a manual double pole-double throw switch to transfer the signal?
I am in Canada and am the guardian of a 98 Bonneville SE. It is my daughters car so I have to get approval, but I think she would like to have her Ipod work with the factory stereo. I probably won't tackle this job for another month or two. I expect to be quite busy with a few other jobs. Are you considering this mod?

Maymybonnevilleliveforever,
Sorry about that. I live in Fredericton, New Brunswick.
I reviewed the information on hackaday.com. That looks interesting, but my radio is a little older than his. I am not looking for anything too fancy. I just want an interface for an MP3 player or IPod. I am going to read a little more before I try it.

I didn't read hackaday.com since I don't want to get more confused than I already am. I'd like to do it to my stock cd stereo in the 95 SSEi, but first I need to find someone that can walk me through it. It was suggested I try it at NEBF, but so far I haven't found anyone that'* going there that can help to the point where I don't have to drive back without a stereo installed and have to explain that to the boarder patrol.

Plus the sound of the relay switching is too good to pass up
