Default Which stock audio do I have?
I know I don't have the Bose system in my SLE... but there was a "premium" sound package that was a level up from the standard, right? What rating of speakers & amp did the Bose system come with? I'm interested in a moderate sound upgrade, and am wondering if I should look for factory Bose parts or anything aftermarket.

bose isnt that great, get yourself some nice componet setsf ro the doors and some good 3 or 4 way 6x9'* for the back
w/ a small amp to run them....

2 or 3 way is fine, 4 way is kinda gimmicky.

The Stock component speakers, are generally better then the bose, or other 'premium' sound setups. The factory Gain controlled one in earlier sse'* kinda don't last long.

i still have the GAIN in my 90 SSE, and it works like a charm. so did the previous bonneville that i had. also a 90 SSE. the GAIN was wonderful.

It would be usefull for working out swaps and such?

Right, there was a premium package with a subwoofer amp and bass gain control.
