Default Steering Wheel Radio Controls not working.

My controls quit working. They have never had working lights since I owned the car, but they didn't stop working till just a few days ago. They quit and came back and now they have quit all together. First, what is the most common issue that causes this and second, what aftermarket stereos will match my car to use with the steering wheel radio controls.
Thanks.

I read thru that, but I don't think that is actually the problem. They worked fine and all went out at the same time. No resoponse from any of the buttons. I figue it has to be loose wiring maybe.

Do the wires have a singe connection coming out of the steering wheel?

take off the airbag and look at the clockspring and all the wiring under there.. cant hurt to test the switches to, and while your in there, replace the pins too
