The stock speekers in the back I cant tell what wire is pos and what one is neg since i do not see it marked any where can you help.

I replaced the speakers in my brother'* BOnneville (92) and the plus, and negative symbols were on the metal connectors, OR it was on the plastic it connects to. I'm not sure. It'll be somewhere near the tinsel leads. OR you can guess by that negative is usually the darker colored wire..

Positive wires are usually lighter than the negative or the negative will have a black line all the way along the wire. Hope this helps.

Take a short jumper wire and short each terminal to chassis ground while the stereo is on. The one that shorts and makes no difference in sound is the ground.

The speakers are not grounded, are they? You should have paired wires back to the stereo.

As for which way around is positive or negative, I think it'* more important to have matching polarity for both speakers, either way around, so that they're in phase with each other for maximum bass feel.

The speakers get chassis ground through the stereo. I'll bet you a ride in my car that one of them reads ground through an ohmmeter.

Take a 9-volt battery and attach a black wire and a red wire to the negative/positive terminals. Strip the ends and touch them to the terminals on the speakers; if the speaker pushes out, you've got it right. If it sucks in, you've got it wrong. =)
