Speaker wiring Question - GM Forum - Buick, Cadillac, Chev, Olds, GMC & Pontiac chat

Audio (and aftermarket electronics) This is your place for alarms, remote starters, to brag about your system, exaggerate your db levels, or simply ask questions for stock or aftermarket audio. No Flames! (except from roasted amps)

If you are asking if you can keep the stock rear speakers with that aftermarket HU and use those speakers for the fronts??

If that is what you are asking, then yes you can.

should be fine.

The ratings for the HU are the lowest ohm values that the HU can handle. Since the fronts and rears are on different channels w/in the headunit they wont impact each other.

I run amped 6.5" components for my front stage and the stock 6*9 speakers powered by the headunit for my rear fill. Other than my subs and the music I listen to reaking havoc on the 6*9 speakers they still work to this day.
