SQ= sound quality
if you want a cheap HU, atleast get a 100 dollar JVC.
dual makes very entry level subs. but if you just want a little bump they will probably make you farily happy.
the more you spend up front means the less you will spend in the long run.

Do not buy the dual.
Good systems come in time, saving, and planning.
The great thing about car audio is that it does not have to be done all at once.
My suggestion is save for a mid level pioneer or alpine.
It may look like alot now but if you buy that dual I assure you that you will have problems and end up having to buy a better unit... therefore spending more money.
So buy the HU, save for the sub(*), amp, and wiring... then worry about the box later.
Try to get all the components then the Accesories for the stuff will not seem too bad.
If you are doing the install yourself I'd get the wiring from here.

the guy is cheap and is very fast @ getting products out.
Do it right the first time.
and remember that **** poor planning leads to **** poor performance.

Another thing to consider is if you want a HU that can read compressed audio formats off the discs such as .mp3. Format reading will likely drive the price up but then you can fit about 250 songs on a disc. Also, I would aim close to a 50w x 4 for the maximum power the unit can put out.
If you can, give some model numbers of the units you're considering and we can offer you our advice on each of them.
I found this website some time ago. The selection is a bit spotty now but everyday or so more items keep popping up. I ordered my 5 1/4" type * speakers and my Pioneer DEH-P770MP HU from them and got them mighty quickly. Here is the website www.orbitalperformancesystems.com. I don't know if I would touch the absolute stuff for anything other than the installation parts they have posted if you're looking for good quality but Pioneer is definitely good. I sent an e-mail to them once and they said they're working on getting more brands put up soon. From the looks of it, audiobahn and alpine are definitely going be up there. Their prices tend to be better than what I can find on ebay.

I personally like my set up Which is good since I designed it.
(during install so forgive the wires...
now that I think about this. I need to put all the trunk carpet back in...looked so much better.

I tell ya what, if you want to save yourself a few bucks you should really try to do the wiring of the HU and amp yourself!!! After you do it once it just gets easier!!! The only thing that'* different every time is how you get into the dash and also where your'e going to run the power wires and such for the amp!!! I've done about ten or so installs and they just get easier and easier and cost less once you know what you need!!!!
