It helps alot in the doors, if you want to do something to seal the rear speakers fromt he trunk and sub bass, get some baffles. Use a lot of deadening stuff in the trunk.

Be cautious... some of those sound killers can be a PITA because you have to heat up the stuff before you apply it. I think my friend just bought that same stuff off of e-bay... I'll ask him what he thinks about it. When I get my 15 put in I think I am going to stick with the name brand and go dynomat...

There'* a couple brands that make dampening material. Some need to be heated some are peel and stick. I found some Dynamat extreme on ebay whole car kit 36sqft for $89, they had an e-story and bought 3 bulk packs and got a little deal. I know that other brands are much cheepier like the link above is 100 ft2 for $100, some say that it'* all the same and gets the same results, I don't disagree with them I just went with what I KNOW WORKS!

Trunk only took about hour and a half. I HIGHLY recommend doing the front doors in any car, even without a stereo, makes the ride so nice and quite.

If you dont find anything on e-bay, check here: http://www.thezeb.com/caraudio/dynamat.html

(9) 18"x 32" pieces for $130 seems like a pretty good deal to me...

Its pretty much like everything else. It has the same quality as some name brand. But as always your just paying more just because of the name. Plus with the Fat Mat/100sq ft for $100 youll pretty much be able to do your trunk twice. So youll be twice as thick as Dynamat Xtreme. If you do get stuff similar to the Xtreme it will be peel & stick. If you get stuff that is like Dynamat Original that is going to be the ones where you have to heat up with a heat gun and then apply.

97NAbonneville1: That kit is only for 36 sq. ft.
