no, not confusing, it'* exactly what I expected. I just have to find a way to get my hands back behind that bracket and unplug the antenna wire now haha

I installed on in my 04 blazer. You plug the original antenna into the black box of sirius box then insert the black box antenna into the rear of the factory radio by way of an adapter to plug into the factory radio. It will need to be tuned by the station on the satellite radio. It makes the signal along stronger and a huge difference in audio quality. You will appreciate the hard work when the result speaks volumes.

yeah, I just need to find a way back behind the bracket the OEM radio sits in so I can get to the antenna plug, then I need to find an adapter, its just too damned cold to play with it now haha

You should be able to maneuver the bracket out, it should slide up and then you could push it back into the car giving you a little room.
