Is it safe to mount an amp on the sub box?

does it really matter which way they face? theyll be safer from trunk items if they are facing forward

Try it both way to see which sounds good to you . Another thing , you can always buy speaker grills .

one of the reasons most like it facing twards the back is because it will reflect off the back of the trunk and produce a nice, deep and full sound. If you point them tward the seats it will not reflect quite the same and a ton will just be shooting into the padding in the seat, which may bother some backseat riders.

I mounted mine beneath the dash along the hump, I have a Profile Amp which has a really cool LED running along the top, I have been there and done that, so many times with putting the AMP in the back. So I tried something new!!!. Don't get me wrong for theft purposes its all wrong!! but I just throw a coat over it, plus with my dark tint you can't see inside anyway. You can't beat having all the controls right at your finger tips. For me I will never go back. I don't know if you can do the same with your SLE, my SE does not have the center console. You could also mount it under the seat, which I have done for installs with trucks.

That'* kinda tough. Most cars here have consoles and floor shifters.

just what i need, more ******* problems, the box i got is too big, i will never be able to reach my spare without removing it from the car, so now i need to get 2 seperate boxes and have them on the sides, then i dont know if i want ported or sealed, i know sealed is easier, but i know ported can match sound quality with less poer only if its exactly tunes, 1/8 inch too long or too wide can lose quality, opinions?

How many times do you get to your spare? Just make sure the box aint bolted down or permanantly implanted into the trunk and you should be fine. Assuming you can put your amp somewhere else besides on top of the box.

i suppose so, but i like to be prepared for any situation, i wudnt want to remove my box form the car if say i got a flat in the rain or snow, its 2 options, i can get 2 individual boxes, or i can make a stand to elevate this box a bit, but if i made the stand the box is too tall to right sid eup so it would either be up or down firing, i assume 2 seperate boxes wud be better?
