remote starter - GM Forum - Buick, Cadillac, Chev, Olds, GMC & Pontiac chat

Audio (and aftermarket electronics) This is your place for alarms, remote starters, to brag about your system, exaggerate your db levels, or simply ask questions for stock or aftermarket audio. No Flames! (except from roasted amps)

It'd help if we knew what brand and model you had. It'll be different depending on these factors!

Ok, let'* see a pic of the remote front and back, including any markings, and maybe have you check the remote starter receiver. It'* probably above the driver'* footwell hushpanel.

yea, there has got to be a brand name showing. All manufacturers put their name on their products.

I have to disagree with you Skippy, I've seen tons of units were there is no name on the unit.
I have had to open remotes & brains to find the name printed on the circuit board cause there were no identifiable markings on the cases.
So that is not true. I can tell you this as an installer who has been in the business for quite a long time.

My best advice if you can't find a name on the unit, go to some stereo shops and show the remote to some of the installers or sales staff and see if they reconize it or post a pic of it.
