Rear View Mirror Shakes - Page 2 - GM Forum - Buick, Cadillac, Chev, Olds, GMC & Pontiac chat

Audio (and aftermarket electronics) This is your place for alarms, remote starters, to brag about your system, exaggerate your db levels, or simply ask questions for stock or aftermarket audio. No Flames! (except from roasted amps)

LOL, I don't think that the dynamat will do much. But it was a good idea.

I did the Dynamat on the back of the rearview mirror and it helped quite a bit. I put two pieces on each side of the rearview mirror. Just make sure you pick pieces that do not have the Dynamat logo. Get the Dynamat "original" which has a dark backing (i.e. it isn't shiny like the other Dynamat).

Try and pick up some scrap from a car audio shop.

It doesn't solve the problem 100% but its better than nothing.

FYI my non-dimming mirror didn't shake, but my dimming one does....

Jam a piece of paper in there. It just gets annoying when it starts to rattle and makes a squeky noise
