Default rear decklid question....

I am planning on changing out my stock 6x9s for some aftermarket ones..i've done it before with other cars but the holes in the trunk frame seem a bit small...is it possible to change out the speakers from the top(inside car)?..preferably w/o damaging the speaker grills on the rear decklid....do they come off somehow?

yah the speaker grilles come off from the inside and then you have to unbolt the speakers. only thing that makes it hard is working so close to the back window. grilles should just pop off.

the 6x9s pop out in their plastic frame. Then you can mount the new speakers and pop the frame back in. You really don't need to unbolt anything to get the speakers out.

don't forget to disconnect the wires first.

That is Great to hear, I was wondering about that myself, will it be the same for my SSEi? That would be wonderful because I had to take the whole back seat out to get the rear deck out of my 98 GA SE.
