Question about my radio - GM Forum - Buick, Cadillac, Chev, Olds, GMC & Pontiac chat

Audio (and aftermarket electronics) This is your place for alarms, remote starters, to brag about your system, exaggerate your db levels, or simply ask questions for stock or aftermarket audio. No Flames! (except from roasted amps)

Default Question about my radio

Ok so I have the factory radio still in my car, but I have a Alpine out of my old car. Is there anyway to still have my radio controls functionable with the aftermarket radio??
Because if not, I guess the factory one will stay in.

Yes, but you'll have to buy an adaptor, which can be found here:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1161733272699
Also, it'* only compatible with certain models, so you'll have to look that up on its website

No prob, Leslie, but know that you'll have to splice the wires and match them up to the wires on the adapter. It'* not THAT hard, but it'* just nice to know what you're getting into

Yeah, I wont be doing that myself lol I'd probably short out something. I bought the radio at Best Buy January 06, and they installed/uninstalled it from my Sebring so I will probably go back to them.
