If one was programed in to the radio then ya, it will need to be entered when power is reconnected. If you don't know the code that will be a problem.

Ya, disconnect the battery. But then if one was put in it will be locked. Not sure if you can do this because I never tried. But get the owners manual and enter a code. Make sure you write it down.

or just take it to the dealer and have them program it to your car.
