Audio (and aftermarket electronics) This is your place for alarms, remote starters, to brag about your system, exaggerate your db levels, or simply ask questions for stock or aftermarket audio. No Flames! (except from roasted amps)

Question....

Actually the mid level "performance" (non-bose) setup is probably going to sound better. It'* your call, but the bose use funny power output from the special amp they get.

Your best bet is to just find some nice speakers on sale online You're not going to have any better sound!

That would probly be best. And speakers that are at least better than the stock ones wont cost much.

Where is this stock amp located? I have a stereo from a 2001 Camaro, and I want to make sure that the amp is still hooked up. Thanks.

Jim, make sure ryan gives you all 8 speakers and not just those 4. The cover for the speakers on the back has 2 hidden tweeters in them. Then again you have the same hidden tweeters in your car jim. The other tweeters on the door are bose as well. Thats why they say its an 8 speaker system. Get all of them if you can.

NOTE TO JIM: DO NOT PUT AN AFTERMARKET AMP TO THOSE SPEAKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I did it and I blew both of them I put the factory delcos in trhere and for 3 weeks they still are running strong.

Yeah, if you notice above, Ryan didn't have the tweets from the front, prolly still in his door. And as far as putting an amp on 6x9'*, I've never heard of doing that anyway, lol.
