premium audio - GM Forum - Buick, Cadillac, Chev, Olds, GMC & Pontiac chat

Audio (and aftermarket electronics) This is your place for alarms, remote starters, to brag about your system, exaggerate your db levels, or simply ask questions for stock or aftermarket audio. No Flames! (except from roasted amps)

Now are the door panels different than regular, is there an opening. Also, would you be able to buy them from dealer still, or better off checking the wreckers.

there is no real point to adding rear door speakrs, unless you care that your rear passengers get just as good quality sound as the driver, and if you ask me, i dont care how it sounds to anyone but me....

Default premium sound

I felt the same as you for a while. I did alot of research and one of the guys at Elemental Designs said it best when he told me that If I really wanted my car to saound realistically great, don't go with any rear speakers or "rear fill". Sure rear speakers pull the sound back further from the front, but when you go to concert to see a band perform, the band is in front of you... There are no guys behind you playing guitar. Make it like a concert hall dude... Make it like a concert hall...
