Pictures of my system - GM Forum - Buick, Cadillac, Chev, Olds, GMC & Pontiac chat

Audio (and aftermarket electronics) This is your place for alarms, remote starters, to brag about your system, exaggerate your db levels, or simply ask questions for stock or aftermarket audio. No Flames! (except from roasted amps)

the box isnt secured, but it doesnt slide around since it barely clears the top of the back of my trunk, plus the boxes carpet grips my trunks carpet really well. Its very hard to slide the subs around, you need to wiggle them side to side and tilt it back to get it out.

umm your fuse should be within a foot of your battery and apparently its in your trunk definately a fire hazard because if it does short out its most likely going to do it before the trunk, like in the engine compartment or being cut by the firewall...........also many other situations. dangerous stuff if you dont fuse it close to the battery.

It'* not 1k watts. your fuse should equal your amp draw and be within 18 inches (1 foot pref.) of your battery.

umm if you get a fuse that is way over what your amp draws its gonna defeat the purpose of a fuse. the fuse is supposed to burn to protect you, and if you get too high of a fuse you will lose that protection.
