Default Out of Curiosity...

I was wondering which brands of car stereo equipment you all like the best...I suppose I could go through all the posts and try to tabulate all the opinions, but this seems more direct

money no object..Alpine and J.L.Audio. They can not be beat as far as sound quality and the ability to get loud. The majority of the equipment out there is either for sound quility(which i preffer) or slp/ getting loud. To me just being loud is not everything it also has to sound good. I do not want the bass so loud i can not hear the words or vice versa. I have had all kinds of equipment from profile, rockford fosgate, pioneer, sony, pyle, oz audio, alpine, jl audio, memphis and mtx and i have to say they all have came a long way but the new j.l. audio stuff is unreal. It will get so loud it makes your ears hurt but it is still crystal clear. It helps when the amps and the speakers a made to be used together and that was not even thought of a few years ago. used to you bought amps from rockford and subs from jl and then went to mb quart for mids and highs. Now eveyone makes everything. The big diffrence that i see is that you no longer need a car full of subs to get loud bass. I have 1 12w7 and there is no need to have 2 unless you want to go deaf. i have had as many as 4 12"* in my car and they never sounded like my Bonn.

I agree, I'd go with Eclipse or Alpine for head units (price no object), and J.L. Audio, MB Quart, or Focal for speakers. I'm sure I'm missing some other good ones but those are off the top of my head.

Infinity-speakers/subs
JL Audio-subs
Memphis-amps
DEI-amp
Kenwood-amp/Headunit
