OEM Radio replacment help - GM Forum - Buick, Cadillac, Chev, Olds, GMC & Pontiac chat

Audio (and aftermarket electronics) This is your place for alarms, remote starters, to brag about your system, exaggerate your db levels, or simply ask questions for stock or aftermarket audio. No Flames! (except from roasted amps)

Your best exact fit would be a 92-99 Bonne or Grand Prix. They both have the red display and same connector to hook up.

Yea, stay away from 2000+. They won't work without the Databus. The radios are VIN specific. Meaning, if you take a radio out of 2001 and put it into even another 2001, it won't work because the VIN # programmed into the PCM will not match the VIN programmed into the radio. It'* part of ant-theft.

You can have the dealer reprogram it if need be. I don't know about going from 2000+ to 1999 and below.
