Audio (and aftermarket electronics) This is your place for alarms, remote starters, to brag about your system, exaggerate your db levels, or simply ask questions for stock or aftermarket audio. No Flames! (except from roasted amps)

I know when i put the XM modilator in mine ,I had to buy the adaptor from Radio Shack to get it to work. Just a little over 18 bucks with tax

xbroken, you might want to look at this, it is a specific fit, slides right in, doesn't have to have that big plactic piece surrounding it.

GM is notorious for using a mini antenna plug.
All aftermarket decks use a standard size antenna plug.
Without the adapter the antenna plug will just fall out of the aftermarket hole.

I've seen people come to the shops that I have worked at complaining about poor radio quality. When I pull the deck the mini antenna plug has been taped using a whole roll of electrical tape to keep it in (but it still doesn't make proper contact).

Buy the antenna adapter its like $20
