the earlier Bonneville'* could get tons of bass otu of the 6x9'*. In my 88 lesabre people actually thoguth I had subs when I didn't because of how much bass the 6x9'* put out. I put the same 6x9'* in the riv and there isn't half the bass the lesabre had. Those boxes make a HUGE difference on the bass down low! the 92-99 Bonneville'* are horrible for 6x9'*. My brother'* sounds really bad with his aftermarket 6x9'*. They're kenwood but the bass is very sloppy and it just makes farting noises, just like my mom'* 95 SSE did with the premium sound. I don't know what they did with the speaker locations on those years of Bonneville, but they're horrible!

I always figured the design of the trunk and the location of the speaker housing always helps the amplificaiton of the bass.

It sounds almost like I have at least 1-12" in the trunk...lol
