toast did the install him self....IIRC he was one of the first that did the HU in a 00+...he did away with the factory wiring, and did his own to make it work

correct, i re-wired it all myself, there is not single wire or component being used from the original stereo. However, this radio is 1/2 inch deeper than my previous unit, and im going to have to dremel out the back of the dash board to make it fit perfectly, right now the antenna adapter makes it not fit, so i dont have any radio.

for the record, i wasnt the first, but one of the first to install a new HU in an 00+, the only one i know of that beat me to it is TaylorD

after seeing it in person i must say it really is amazing. you can do so much with it. i think it will be my next purchase...after tinted windows.

i am very amazed by it myself, after 3 days im just now starting to figure out how it all works, and i am more than impressed with the price i paid for it on ebay, i think i would have been JUST as happy if i spent full retail on it

Wow. I actually like that HU. Usually these threads do nothing for me (I'm old, remember, I don't like a lot of the new HUs).

That'* a nice, clean system. I want one......
