I have a mobile audio installler coming out to install my new 250 dollar dvd/.cd/radio and all he wants is my camcorder that I bought from frys for 100 bucks lol. I hope it goes smoothly. I hope he is experienced in installing in a pontiac bonnneville. I will let you know how it goes...does anyone know the difference between a double DIN and a single DIN?
oh I forgot its a farenheit tid-530 dvd/cd/radio you can look it us at farenheitusa.com

Someone told me that since I have onstar that I need an ecm module or if I remove the fctory radio it will disable the car from running security feature. Anyone know anything about this?
If you have a custom alarm system it makes no difference to the security system however.... if your installing a custom radio be sure to go out and buy a special adapter that will let you keep the steering wheel controls and another adapter that will keep the safety chimes if you dont buy those special parts you will lose steering wheel controls and chimes so keep that in mind unless this audio guy knows how to hot wire your probably going to need to buy those unless he knows already what you need.
DIN is the size of a regular aftermarket radio, double DIN is twice that size. Your going to want to make sure he uses the module that will retain your door chimes because your warning sounds also play through that module. Without it you won't have any notification if a light comes on or the DIC is warning you of something.

I had to go by best buy and buy a universal wiring harness that would fit the default car adapter, it is a one of a kind adapter for the bonneville. It only cost me 21 dollars but it plugs in perfectly. And I got a guy coming out to install the new dvd player. I also have the dash mount for it. My panels are all off ready for the radio to be installed,. Car toys wanted 180 dollars to do it and best buy wanted 155 to do it. I can get it done for 60 from this mobile guy,
