Default MY new 6x9 speakers

Picked up a set of Lightning Audio 6x9s this afternoon to replace my worn out stockers
I have to say I'm pretty happy with the sound. I'm not looking to break any db levels, I just like my AC/DC to sound good when I have it cranked.

Here'* a shot of one of them installed before I put the screen back on.

The wife helping with the install, taking apart one of the old speakers............hmm, it'* been a while since I've had a body in the trunk

Nice job on the Speaker swap!!

I can fit her and the mother in law with plenty of room for the tarps, shovel and lye

And I don't think I had the amped 6x9s, I know this is a stupid question but how would I tell?

Actually..no, no gain switch.

The amped speakers would be noticed by a Bose plate on the dash panel for Jack'* year.

92-96 had a gain slider under the HU and 97-99 had a Bose plate. This was typically found in the SSE/SSEi'* but could be had as an add on.
