I have been working in the audio industry for about ten years and have owned my own business for about 3 years. I do everything from a deck and 4 to all out custom builds. It is because my experience in my craft, that I was asked to carry out the duties of the "audio gearhead" for these forums. I have access to software so advancex that I can plug a sub in to two wires and a computer program will compute what the optimal sealed and ported box would be. I guess I appreciate the intentions of your post but I have to admit. I'm a bit offended by it. Especially when you make comments like "want to make sure you know that you can't just put some ports on a box and expect it to sound great" lol! I will be laughing at this one for a while! Now I am in no way claiming to be the expert at building boxes or anything but if I don't know that box volume, driver size and port length and diameter come into play, I shouldn't even be doing a custom build lol! Btw I did post what the box was tuned to and the amount of airspace the box has. Read back a few pages and you will see where I posted that info.

nice build, I am helping a friend with his 89, We just made 2 sonotube enclosures, we were looking for something that was easy enough for a first build.
I will make him join this site and take pics of his car.. I dont personally own a bonneville, but I am seriously considering it. I love riding in his car. Roomy Roomy Roomy!.
I appreciate you being up front about being a christian, My friend and I are both christians..
Anyways. Whats that program that you can hook the subwoofer up to?. I am really interested in that because before I was a car nerd, I was a computer nerd.
Thanks,
jason

I had to put my nephew to work again

then i had a major case of car audio a.d.d and started working on other projects. I pulled my radio and cut a ton of plastic away...

before...

after...

still got some gaps to fill on the sides but thats no biggie
one layer of hushmat

3 layers of edead

descrete

I love this unit. it is a clarion vx400

custom door panels will get two sets of diamond audio hex components. it should sound great!
