Hi,

I am looking to have the amp replaced in my 03 ssei. Should I go with monsoon(with my stock radio and speakers)?

Would an 06 GP GTP monsoon amp fit? Should they be the same or somewhat the same?

Or, should I just get a different one. or will an aftermarket radio with a 50x4 mosfet work just as good or better?

Sorry, I forgot to mention that my stock radio doesn't work, in the form of sound only. The head unit displays bose rather than monsoon, shows track info, and all its normal... just without sound... I believe that my amp may be bad. So, if my amp is bad, I was asking if I should look for a monsoon amp, or go with an aftermarket that will fit my stock head unit.

You would not be able to use the monsoon amp, as it operates with data commands as opposed to the more traditional style Bose amplifier. I'd weigh the cost of whatever you can aquire another bose amp for (assuming its actually the amp thats at fault), and use that to deside if you care to replace the audio equipment in your car with aftermarket pieces. The wiring involved to go that route will be a bit more involved than simply connected a wiring harness together in the dash, and the factory speakers aren't ideal to be connected to a new radio because of being lower impedence (ohms) and the way the factory Bose amp splits up the signal through each speaker lead. If simplicity is your preference, replace it with another Bose amp... if you're looking to improve sound quality replacing the head unit and speakers along with bypassing the factory amplifier would be the path.
