Default modified dash...

Well someone broke into my car and jacked my head unit (ok sony). Now having to consider what head unit I want is a big pandora'* box in and of itself. :?
BUT
While looking at the BIG 1.5 din space... and the VERY similarly sized slot for the climate controls... has anyone used the space for the climate controls as a location for say a CB or ham radio...
I am still measuring but it looks to me like there is about 3 DIN WORTH OF SPACE for electronics in the dash. :
Has anyone considered this?
A 1-din dvd head unit and 2 din display permanantly mounted? or in dash computer (touchscreen)?
a mini mac is about 1 din right?

I am sorry to hear that your radio got stolen. I tell ya, getting you car broken into is one of the worst feelings in the world. It makes you look at even the old lady across the street as a suspect

Star...Randman is the answer to your questions. He dropped a double din into his 93 SSEi and it looked factory.
