Looking for ideas for amps and subs? - Page 3 - GM Forum - Buick, Cadillac, Chev, Olds, GMC & Pontiac chat

Audio (and aftermarket electronics) This is your place for alarms, remote starters, to brag about your system, exaggerate your db levels, or simply ask questions for stock or aftermarket audio. No Flames! (except from roasted amps)

So today I decided to buy my w7 subs from a car audio shop and not off the web.I call local shops and get quoted $1399 cnd for a bare 12w7 and $1799 for a bare 13w7 and another $1600 for the 1000/1 jl amp Iwas like wholy snikes.I frequent the US every summer since my pops live in Ohio, and purchase tons of stuff when i make the trip,so anyways I decided to call a local shop in waterown NY called Dba big apple which is about 1hour and 45 minutes from here and they quoted me $775 usd for the 12w7 and 875 for the 13w7 and another $900 for the 1000/1 jl amp Im going to make a trip in the beginning of march to the shop and prolly save over a thousand dollars. 2 hour trip across the border. Priceless Our canadian dollar is about 78 cents to the usd right now. less taxes over there too i believe
