yes its a slot port 1 inch wide by 8.5 inches tall if I remember correctly.

I am by no means an expert, just speak from my personal experience. A few weeks ago, I was in a SPL compitition. There was a car that had 12 - 10 in. woofers in his wagon. He did not win. The guy with 1 15 in. woofer won.
The guy with 12 - 10'* had 6000 watts going to them. The guy with 1 - 15 in. had 4000 watts going to it. He had 4 db greater than the wagon.
There are alot that goes into High SPL and sometimes its not the quantity and size, but the box, box position, wattage etc.. that goes further if done right.
Least, that is what I learned.
