Default kicker Vs. hifonics. Is there even a comparison?

Not too long ago, i posted a topic about me buying new speakers, i ended up keeping the one i have, but.. i was cruisin the net today and remembered a brand that i know to have exceptional amps, i saw thtat they also make subs. i wonder if how good they are. what you guys think?

http://www.maxxsonics.com/hifonics/subs_brutus.html

they have other subs including a 2 peice sub that looks pretty cool. it just doesnt give prices.
i also wondered if they are comparible with the kikcer solobaric L7. IMO the Brutus would eat the kicker for lunch.

I used to own a HiFonics Samson X. I have to admit, the build quality was pretty impressive, much better caliber than the Kickers I have now. I have 3 of them...2 200.4'* and a 600.1, none of which has given me any problems, though they have not even been run in well over a year

no, there is no comparison. hi-fonics are a very good brand. kicker is decent for the cost, but if you want quality and pure power, go with hi-fonics.

Haven't seen a really helpful post yet. Hifonics makes good products for the money, but their Brutus amps are slightly overrated. I have owned two and have had no problems, but they were never abused. The XX series are underrated, but they are costlier, but supposedly worth it. Kicker on the other hand are all accurately rated, underrated for the most part. The kx and zx lines have both proven themselves, as well as a few of the subwoofers. Hifonics subs on the other hand... well they haven't really proven themselves in that field. It all depends on how much you're willing to spend, but Kicker does have somewhat decent priced entry level products if you look around online.

If you have any more specific questions, ask here or pm/im me and I'll try to help you out to the best of my abilities.

LOL!

well worth it? I'd rather use one as an anchor. They're heavy enough.

there is no comparison at all... kicker all the way.. i have had hifonics old school and new school subs and they were all great sounding hard hitting bass. but the 2 15'' L7'* dua;l 2 ohms that i have now each running off a kicker sx1250.1 sound way better in sq and spl then my friends 4 15'' square hifonics brutus subs with his 2 fosgate t2000d amps.

no question he will even tell you him self.. i have my set up i na 88 sse and he has his set up in a (i think 1994) honda accord wagon..

i will blow his subs if i connected one of them to one of my kicker amps...
