Default Kicker SS series comps.

Anyone have experience with these? I can get the 5.25'* for a great price and I'm curious if it'* worth it. I assume it is but assumption isn't always good.

I heard the Kickers for a long while in an installer'* GP when I was looking for comps. They are definitely clear sounding, but a little bright (harsh) on the top end. The woofers were the impressive part - decent midbass for a 5.25, but I heard them in kicks so I can't comment on door-mounted performance.

Just out of curiosity, why the change? Do you not like the Diamonds in your sig?

I haven't bought the diamonds yet. But I had my mind set on them for awhile. I can get the SS'* for the same price as I can get the diamonds now.

friendly piece of advice from fellow audio lover: buy the diamonds

they were my first choice until I heard the Chameleons. Then I got a deal on the Chameleons and the Diamonds kinda fell outta the picture.

see the diamonds aren't 5.25"* though. and the SS'* are a bit cheaper (through work). the diamonds are used as well (by a fellow audiophile). So i'm not completely sure here.
