I'm terrible at searching... - GM Forum - Buick, Cadillac, Chev, Olds, GMC & Pontiac chat

Audio (and aftermarket electronics) This is your place for alarms, remote starters, to brag about your system, exaggerate your db levels, or simply ask questions for stock or aftermarket audio. No Flames! (except from roasted amps)

Default I'm terrible at searching...

How does one remove the speakers (front and rear) on a 97 SLE? I can't figure it out, and my manuals aren't in the same town. Also, I utterly suck at finding results. Between the two 15 page term papers I'm writing, I don't think I can fully focus anymore.

For the rears, I prefer to use a torque-lever actuator attached to a bi-fulcrum bar. Both parts can be purchased online from Snap-On. If you synchronize the bi-lateral thrust of both tools, you can drink beer while the tools do the work for you.

Jim i have to disagree with this.....on the 92-99 it is MUCH easire to just pop off the grille and get the speaker and the mount
