pop the bottom out and then shove it up under the back of the seat.

orang is always hot, dark green is the remote turn on, and black is ground
good place for a ground

yeah that will work for a ground
does this cable come out?

yes, pull down.
what is this power connector for?

it has nothing to do with the power antenna, might be the 2 stage fuel pump relay.
and finally.....lol
is this how the seat folds down?

our seats dont fold down, it is just the way the top of the seat is held in place
thanks for the help

thanks so much corvettecrazy
im still a little confused though, i want a switched 12V power source...if the orange one is hot all the time, i dont want to connect to it

but i dont hook to the dark green
so where is it switched?

and there is no remote turn on on the fm modulator, there is a switch to turn the modulator on and off, i just want to be sure to have a switched power source to be sure that i wouldn't leave the modulator on and drain my bettery

this is the modulator

what you need to do is hook it up to a relay. That way you draw positive power from the orange wire and the dark green wire will trigger the relay allowing the FM mod to run on.

it'* a great idea

but the main reason for the modulator to have power is to cut out the signal from the antenna so there is no interference while broadcasting the modulated frequency like 88.1 or w/e

if it turns on all of the time, i will never get any other radio stations

unless i put a switch between the remote power and the relay

edit:

i think i could do it like this

ok then....to make the unit turn off when FM/AM is on.....use a relay and trigger the modulator to turn on of the when the antenna is retracting and then have the the modulator go off when the antenna is extending

but my antenna is going to go on with the radio, whether a cd is playing, or fm/am is on

the only time my antenna will go up is when the car starts, and will go down when ther car shuts off, or it will go up and down when i press the power button on the radio
