Most of the time the only difference is how well it sticks. 3M spray glues are pretty good, reliable products so i doubt u woul have much of a problem on that end

this is not true at all.

there are several alternatives to dynamat made of identical material that is the same or more effective.

Well, I fixed the problem. In the trunk there are two metal tubes going from one side to the other. Look like they were coming from the top of the rear strut towers. I put some pipe insulator around that and it did the trick. I'm good for now though.

How well did that stuff work for you? at $1.00 - $1.50 per square foot it sounds pretty affordable.

Well its good the smell is gone... im glad your honest because that is what im looking to diminish in my car. Im looking to improve inside sound too but just mainly diminish road, i figgure the former will happen automatically with the latter.

Just too much road noise especially going 80 on some of the concrete (a lot noisier than blacktop) highways around here. It becomes a problem with the quiet girlfriends (well, friends that are girls for the moment unfortunatly [/self pity]), you just can hardly hear them mumble over the road noise :?

And yes im looking into 120 sqft of the eDead to cover every road noise location (doors, wheel well, floor, roof, trunk) i can find. Does that stuff really work?
