That would be the Solo X. A very ridiculous sub.

As much power as the Jackhammer gets, it actually doesn't get insanely loud. Now what you consider loud may differ but if we're talking in terms of SPL, I've heard the Jackhammer reaches around 150 db. That'* not that hard to pull off these days for a much cheaper price but most people who can afford it just but it for the shock value.

IMO, I think it is pointless.

For anything other than SPL comps, that sub is a POS. the cone weights to much good frequency response and even if they were able to get it somewhat decent, it takes SOO much power to do that.

IMO, you could have 3-4 ported 10" subs make you go deaf and sound better doing it. Not to mention that it would be WAY cheaper and MUCH lighter.

but all in all..."pimp my ride" is only for the shock value. so I guess the sub fits their profile

A friend of mine had 4 12'* in the back of his car.... I used to talk to him and get a Huh? What? Don what did you say?... I used to tell him sound quality over Thump... He was all about the vibration... To this day he admits he lost some of his hearing... Somewhere along the line he quit messing with audio...lol

But it did thump like crazy
What??

I enjoy sound quality, but I want to be able to shake some windows when I want to also Unfortinately in car audio, that means mo $$

My single sub can produce 150DB in a ported box at the dash in a b-ville if I throw 2000 watts on it and it will take it with pride. However it sounds damn good at 1000 in a small sealed box.
