Default High Output Alternator

Where can I get a High Output Alternator for a decent price like DP used to have. They're down and I saw on Willwren'* site that he says no to DP now. Beyond them I dunno where to go, I remember that had a 200amp for $200. That'* just one dollar an amp...I thought that was great. The reason I am asking is that I my Delco reman has never worked totally right and it is starting to go on me, I have been through like 4 alternators now...I am sick of remans. The Delco has lasted maybe a year, and this is the longest one since the original. I would like at least 160amps. Thanks in advance for any help.

the stock 105a will push my stereo which is around 1100 watts rms.

I'd get a 140 unless you are pushing several amps.

If you are I would try to find a "real" high output alt.

Mr.alternator makes them for most cars, not sure about the 3800 tho. I know they make a 160 for the GPs tho.

That'* what I have and mine isn't working right, it hasn't even been a year. It didn't work entirely right since I got it. It'* a reman, I want a brand new one. Possibly an improved one, better components. I'm not talking more power for the system either, I just want one that'* not gonna crap out.

That'* way too expensive for only 140 amps, but I will look into the kit.

Iraggi Group buy ends Feb 1st, check out http://forums.caraudio.com/vb/showth...ght=alternator or another participating site. Probably going to be 30% off in the end, so you can get a good deal there.

Pricewise, I believe Mr Alternator quoted me somewhere around 210 for a 160 amp, pretty high, because a few others were about the same price for a 200 amp. Just check around and email them asking for quotes. All of them are custom built to order if you were wondering.

All Delcos are remans, it has a lifetime warranty on it. I don't wanna deal with swapping because they keep dieing though.

Would the Autolite one from PartsAmerica be better maybe? It sounds better but that doesn't mean it would be, I don't know much about the quality of Autolite stuff. Right now I might just go get mine replaced because maybe I got a fluke and another might last longer. If the autolite one would be better I could get credit back on the Delco and pay the difference.
