have you seen their beam patterns?? they are nastly looking. One hot spot with a bunch of glare around it...definately not the way HL are supposed to be.
Rob...untill you have seen Seth'* car in person (which i have) and observed the way that the HID'* act in the Bonneville housings dont use the generalities of the 'HID'* in stock lights wont work' and Seth'* do have a sharp cutoff...not blinding to other drivers at all.....i know i drove behind him for a while at the MN Meet
sorry, but it really is impossible for a halogen housing to cast a sharp cut-off when a HID bulb is used. The bulb characteristics vary so much that there is no way both bulbs could have the same cut-off in them. Halogen housings have a gradual decrease in light output from the center of the bulb outward. HID'* light patterns are even and do not have bright/dim areas. The entire pattern is the same brightness.

This would NOT be a good example of a "sharp cutoff" If you look closely the lower bright section is a "hot spot" and the light gradually diminishes. With a proper HID pattern, you'd have even lighting and a very sharp cut-off. The top of that building wouldn't be lit like that.

If you can get it for 50 bucks, grab it. I have HID'* and don't get flashed at all(except when I'm driving through bumfart USA where none of the hicks have ever seen HID'*). Projectors will still give off glare from the HID'* and that'* the biggest problem.
Yes, aftermarket HID kits are illegal but if you get any hassle I'd be surprised. There are so many cars out there with them that cops probably dont care much anymore.

Yeah, I'm sure that'* the case.... However, there'* an off chance on occasion I might "allow" my wife to drive the Bonneville so the car has to remain 100% legal.

just because they have them doesn't make it right or legal.
