Default Hey...Mine Got Stolen, Too

Hi Gang,

Yesterday afternoon between 12PM and 5pm, someone broke into my car and got my Pioneer DEH-2700. I was hoping that the culprits are on security cams, but they arent working. Anyway, the only thing they damaged was the lower dash trim piece. I put the stock Delco back in last night (AM/FM/Cassette).

I want to replace this eventually again, but this time with an OEM Delco AM/FM/CD unit. My questions:

1. I have a '93 SE. Can different years be plug-n-play installation? Hopefully I can go all the way to '99. I have bench seat w/ no console, if that makes a difference. ALso, I don't have the steering wheel controls.
2. If I can use different years, what years can I use? What about stereos from GP'* and GA'*? Are they the same dimension/wiring harnesses?
3. If not, does anyone know if '93 had the AM/FM/CD as an option?
4. Some of the stereos from that era had a anti-theft light on them. WIll this be a problem?

I really hate it that the car was broken into. Wha are these people thinking? It was a decent stereo, but by no means high end. What are they expecting to sell this for?

Thanks for the advice,

NCC

sorry to hear this man, that is a real shame....

any HU from 92-99 will work out of any pontiac, they all have the same connections

yes the 93 did have the CD option but that thing is like 200+ to re place with a factory unit

the anit theft light should not bother you, but that is mainly on the newer ones
