Default Head Unit vs. Display

Was on Alpines website looking at Head Units and Displays. I was wondering why their best head unit costs $2400 and their best display is only $1600.

because they are designed for different things.

also, building a great headunit is harder than making a decent screen. When you put a flip up screen in your dashboard, your sacrificing a TREMENDOUS ammount of valuable space that is needed to make an award winning SQ headunit

The headunit incorporates much more electronics wise, and therefore cost wise?

long story short... if all you care about is sound then you wouldnt want a screen.... good SQ costs more to engineer than a screen.
