Default Head Unit Compatibility Question

Greetings,
New to the forum. Just purchased a '92 SSE (loaded). Would like to know if there are any after market head units (preferably satellite compatible) that works with the steering wheel remote? I am looking to replace the factory unit due to a volume control issue. Thanks in advance.

you will need to find a HU with a remote.....once you have that you will need to Purchase a PAC SWI-X to retain the steering wheel controls

Thanks for the advice. I was leaning towards a kenwood, Clarion, Alpine, or Blaupunkt. I have not listened to any set ups as of recent, so going by the last bit of memory. I got the best sound for my ears from a Kenwood, but that was with a set of Infinity speakers. I have the premium factory set up, so I suspect the speakers are bose. I have to listen to a selection of HU connected to a Bose setup. Any thought and/or advice? All answers welcome...

Thank for the input. in a previous lifetime I had a Saab 9000 with a factory Clarion, and Infinity speakers. The HU locked on me so I replaced it with a Kenwood. The sound was great!!! Now I want to know if I get the same performance with a Bose speaker setup. If not I plan to replace the speakers with Rockford Fosgates to handle a future high output Amp setup.

I have a kenwood mp828 and enjoy it as well. Sirius ready, has so many features...one could simply not use them all.
