factory radio swap - GM Forum - Buick, Cadillac, Chev, Olds, GMC & Pontiac chat

Audio (and aftermarket electronics) This is your place for alarms, remote starters, to brag about your system, exaggerate your db levels, or simply ask questions for stock or aftermarket audio. No Flames! (except from roasted amps)

so you think that the tape deck that does not have a cd player has a diffrent harness then mine. it is the same year of car. i know that mine is the 32 pin connector not the normal gm harness. i just do not know about hers

I theroy sounds like it should work BUT is your old one the BOSE, guessing that it is, since your Grandmas isn't not sure if it would work. If she'* got a ribbon though, I think it WOULD work.

Guess you wont know untill you see the back of your grandmas radio, maybe start a new thead in the +2000 and sure somebody with an SE has changed radios and could help you out.
