Guys, if he has a 00 SSEi he has a double DIN factory radio. The radio will fit the dash cavity once the rear portion is cut away to allow for the extra needed depth. Now our dash cover has rounded corners that slightly overhang the corners of the radio. Those corners will have to be reshaped/refinished to clear the face of the double DIN unit. American International part no GM-K422 is a set of double DIN sized ISO mount brackets that will attach to the side of the radio'* chassis, and match the shape and location of the factory brackets. Because the 00+ radios are not held in with screws, you'll need to use a speed clip or an OEM style threaded plug to give a screw something to bite into.

correct,

the 00+ have a double din, with a bezel that reduces the actual face size of the redio to just SLIGHTLY larger than a DIN. So, there is enough room in the dash (except the possible depth problem) its just that the bezel is too small

The main piece that Randman cut larger and remade to fit the radio...

Dash color and texture is made by SEM paints and available at most true automotive paint shops.
