you get more for your money if you get single din, ive been looking at this clarion cz500 which has bluetooth audio streaming built in, and crutchfield is giving out free HD adapters with taging "while supplies last".
then amazon has a 1/2 din EQ for $50 to fill the hole in the adapter kit.

well im tempted to get a single din for that reason jw but my issue is the stereo i have now (in my opinion) looks out of place in my car. id really love the double din to make it look cleaner. the stereo ive got now has all the features i want

http://hdradio.com/buyers_guide.php?...uideController

but what i dont like is that ive got my ipod plugged into the front, then having to double back into the dash under the stereo because ive got it running into my glovebox. also the other annoyance and driving hazard is having to push the little flush disp button 3 times to see the whole song name. songs pretty much longer than a word dont show the whole name.

as for the touch screen, how easy do you find it to swap stations while driving? im used to being able to rest my wrist on the shifter and push down or up on the click wheel and being able to keep my eyes on the road. im worried about having to look over to find stations while moving.

my last worry is gloves. (being able to push the right things) im almost always wearing leather gloves when im going anywhere in winter because i got frostbite as a kid, and trust me it hurts like hell getting in and out with bare hands now lol.

Thanks for that tip! I went out and bought one.

Any tips on installation? Do I need a special dash kit?

you will need the reducer thing (you can get them cheap at walmart) for your car. and it depends on your car but in mine there is hardly any room for installation. i had to carve up a (seemingly) useless piece of plastic between the stereo and air duct in order for my current stereo'* wiring harness to fit. other than that its smooth sailing.
