Is it hard to replace the door speakers on a 99 bonneville?

Okay its been a while since I have touched that body style but since you cant find an answer anywhere, i will try to remember how from the top of my head.(wish I had one right in front of me). Bare with me and hold any mistakes to my head and not my heart.

First you have to roll the windows down if you dont want to break the top of you door panel.
Remove the door light by prying with a screwdriver at the rear of the lense. Be careful and make sure that you get a good deep bite with your tool so you dont break it. I think there are two bolts inside that need to be removed 8 or 10 mm. Prolly 10.
Next pop out the little panel behind the door release handle, there will be a torx head screw inside that needs to be removed also.
You may need to pull pretty hard on the manual lock button to remove it. I am not sure if you will need to or not but if so, dont jerk on it. Give it a firm solid pull so you dont break it.
Now you can remove the bigger panel.
Remove all the little screws or bolts from the perimeter of the panel.
Pry around the perimete firmly to free all body clips.
Try to reach down inside of the window channel between the top of the panel and the door and pull straight upward. You may also be able to push upward from the bottom of the panel. Just be careful not to bend any of the softer metal tracks that align the panel to the door frame. That should be it. If you need more help let me know. Keep in mind, dont do anything to violently so you dont risk breaking anything. If it takes you an hour to do it patiently and get it done correctly, you will be much happier than if you rushed through it and end up breaking stuff.

I have the original GM repair books for the 99 bonneville and thats what it pretty much says in them, you just simplified it, thanks a lot.

Invest in a trim removal tool; basically a flat plastic stick with each end tapering down to a wedge. These are used for prying trim pieces off without damaging painted surfaces. If you can't find one, make sure you wrap whatever pry tool you are using (screwdriver, etc.) so you don't damage anything.

I agree and another good tip is when you are trying to pop body clips, put the pry tool as close to them as possible.

don't think you will break them cause they are suppossed to pop off. they shouldn't be very hard to come off. if they break then you can get some new ones at a auto parts store im pretty sure.

^^^ true ^^^ clips are at local stores... just be careful to not break anything else and try to be careful on the clips... they can get to be really expensive if you break multiples.... i work at a dealership and have several sets of clips that go up to 4 - 6 bux a CLIP.... now think on that at 8-10 per door
