Has anyone figured any of this out yet? I just recently picked up a new set of speakers for the Bonneville, partially with the intention of making the rears full range speakers since I have a 12" sub in the trunk anyway.
Was the consensus that there'* a crossover in the amp itself? If that is the case, I have a spare 2 channel amp lying around I can install, but I'd rather not go through the trouble of running the wiring if I don't absolutely need to.

And I imagine there'* no switch to disable it...
Anyone know what color the rear signal wires are that go into the amp for the rears? My amp will accept direct line inputs for such a thing if the signal wires come straight off the factory amp.

2003 Bonneville Monsoon Amp Bypass Wiring
For the 2003 Bonneville with the Monsoon amp, there are two bigger harnesses going into the monsoon amp. One is an input from the radio, the other is an output to speakers. The speaker wires are in twisted pairs. I believe Brown is LR +, Yellow is LR -, Dark Blue is RR+ and Light Blue is RR -. Those are two of the twisted pairs. Here is the best diagram I could make.
Hope that helps.
**edit** I meant to tell you that in the diagram, if you are bypassing the amp, the wire on the left side gets connected to the wire on the right side. Atleast that is how it worked out in mine.

Awesome. That'* just what I was looking for. Hi5!!
I'll get that amp hooked up and start rocking more full sound!
I can't believe GM decided it would be a good idea to run only bass through the rear speakers. That makes being a passenger in this car quite uncomfortable if you want to listen to music.
