Audio (and aftermarket electronics) This is your place for alarms, remote starters, to brag about your system, exaggerate your db levels, or simply ask questions for stock or aftermarket audio. No Flames! (except from roasted amps)

I used to have subs, but I got tired of having no trunk space. also, I had my sub box bolted to the car trunk metal in 4 different spots and after a few WOT take offs, the box would rip itself out of the bolts and fly to the back of the trunk. (it'd rip the #8 screws right out of the wood!) I planned on low-passing the woofers at 100 HZ anyway. anyways, it doesn't really matter what it looks like anyway. Remember, there'* going to be a panel covering everything up. Nobody is ever giong to see it.

or, here'* yet another idea.. build a box that will fit in that panel, say a 12x12x5" box which would give you a volume of .5 Cubic feet. perfect for this subwoofer. http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showd...number=264-832. Just throwing ideas out here. In reality this project probably isn't going to work I know. I just would like better bass than 6x9'* without having to cut up the rear deck, or putting a box in the trunk. Right now I built a wall with my amps mounted on its backside so you can't even tell I have amps in the trunk at all. I like it like that. I just wanted to utilize these quarter panels to make it a stealth installl. I just need to know if these woofers I've suggested for use would work well in a non-sealed environment like what car speakers would. I just don't know because I've never done this before. This is frustrating trying to figure out something to do.

The link you gave us brings up a page that says it has no search results. What is the total budget for speakers materials and everything? We can make this work, but it isnt gunna happen in a day or 2, its gunna take time, every project does. I was also thinking that it might be easier to inegrate the installation better if we had them in your rear pillars, and maybe even make them load off of the rear window so it will get a little louder.
