Default In dash kits

I was wondering how everybody'* in dash kits sit. I dont like mine at all. Just wanting to see how everybody elses sits. I wanted one where the face of the radio will sit flush. Ill post a pic up later on how mine is. Unless somebody beats me to it.

Got mine from http://humount.com/ with the faceplate only protruding from the kit. I'm almost positive you can set it to be flush, check the sleve the HU is in. What kit and HU do you have now?

I've used the kits from WalMart, Best Buy, and Circuit City. By trimming a composite piece inside the dash I got them all to sit flush.

Sorry, don't have any pics to share, but I know someone here will.

Heres mine, a little different because I covered it with fabric, but it was just a plain metra kit from circuit city. It was the Metra GM Custom Installation Kit (99-4544)

The kit was a puzzle itself though but it gave the best results for the price and it also gave you whatever mounting depth you wanted. (Did take a while to figure out how to put it together and how I wanted it)

The other one that I had before this one was made specifically for my car stuck out and I didnt like it so i went with the GM Custom Installation Kit (the one above). It fits all GM vehicles 1982 and up so yah its a huge puzzle but you can make it just how you want it.

Is there a way to mod this kit to fit a 92?
