30; for the 30 the batt and fuse are your existing power source for the cig lighter(dont have to do anything just pull out the plug and test it to see which wire is +12v. cut that, put the wire that goes toward the fuse battery on pin 30 and the side that goes toward the cig lighter on 87. (the reason for this is the wiring and fuses have to be sized properly for the inverter or whatever you plan to stick in there which most draw alot of power. so you know that the stock stuff is good so it will work and be safe.)

the rap you can do like you wanted if you arent comfortable cutting anything inside but then you have to figure out how to get it in the truck. if it was me i would pull the radio out, you know one of those has to be rap power. i would just test the plug and see which it is. then strip it and solder a wire on. this is the low power side of the relay and only take minimal current away from what ever you attach it to. you just have to be sure to solder all connections and heat shrink or good quality tape everything. 85 is whatever convenient spot you find to ground it

jwfirebird - thank you for all your help. Following your direction I was able to successfully convert a power outlet from unswitched to switched.

I installed an accessory 12v relay inbetween the + and - terminals of the power outlet fuse I wished to change. I was able to find an open ignition outlet in the MBEC panel under the steering column.

I now have successfully installed an inverter to power my Apple TV (Gen 1) that turns off with the car to play through the OEM stereo and TVs.

My next projects include installing a GM2 LockPick (GM2 LOCKPICK) so that the front screen can view movies while the car is in motion and convert the Apple TV hard drive to SSD so it won't fail during bumpy car rides.

Thanks all for your help.
