Alpine 9830
Hey gang, I got an Alpine 9830 HU. It has a Time Correction option.
I know that the Time Correction is referring to the speed the sound reaches the ears, relevant to each speaker. I know the math for figuring it out.
What I don't know is...if it made that much difference.
If anyone else has this headunit or is familiar with the Time Correction let me know your findings. I spent an hour setting and resetting it and I can't tell that much of a difference.
Thanks for the help,
Tim

I doubt that you will be able to hear much difference, especially while driving down the road. Personally I think that feature is more for cars that are entering SQ competitions where that kind of stuff is important.

Yeah you may be right. SQ comps would be more demanding on that sort of thing.
I am still fascinated by it though. I like my sound to sound as if I would be entering a comp.
Thanks for the reply,
Tim

you also may need some front components that are higher than stock quality to really hear the difference. You truely realize how bad stock speakers are once you install a nice set of components
