what is "very good" 1mile or 2???

I used to be able talk 6 miles or better with no kicker with my wilson 1000 on top center and a
galaxy cb.

I live here in the mountains of Southern West Virginia....Industrial mountains....not tourism mountains by the way...haha. Depending on the terrain, it varies greatly. But I can talk to my friend who lives 4 miles away, with no problems at all. At times it seems limited down to 1 mile, but that is when i'm in a valley surrounded by mountains and the person i'm talking to is in the same situation. On the open interstate (very few places here in the coalfields) I can talk 3-5 miles with no problem.
